Summary
Each year, the U.S. leisure travel population fluctuates due to economic conditions as well as personal factors. In 2018, not as many Americans traveled for leisure, but other indicators suggest consumer confidence remains high, even among those who stayed home. Part of the U.S. Consumer Travel Report 2019 series, this report examines the incidence of travel among U.S. adults, with a focus on trip frequency and length, travel spend, travel party composition and loyalty program membership.
